bicycling buttonmountain bikerIf you re looking for a great mountain biking experience, Jay Peak offers a mountain of riding. Of course, there are lots of backroads and other off road riding in the area. And this is a wonderful area for touring bikes. There's a new bike path that will take you from the shores of Lake Champlain right to our country road. All of our country roads are free of traffic and terrific for riding. Check out our Bicycling Page, and then give us a call to book your room for a fabulous biking weekend.

hiking buttonThe Long Trail cuts through Montgomery Center as it nears its end at the Canadian border. Day hikes up to the top of Jay Peak are very popular, as are hikes along our dirt roads and other trail systems. Hiking Clubs enjoy this area immensely for its calm, quiet backroads and trails.

There is a strong possibility of spotting deer, quail, moose, duck, rare birds, ruffled grouse, pheasant, fox or other magnificent wild life while on your hike.
This is one adventure in the Jay Peak area you shouldn't miss!

golfing buttonIf you really want a relaxing round of golf, you've come to the right place. We have 15 courses nearby, and all are inexpensive, uncrowded and challenging. Golf just doesn't get any better than here in northern Vermont. Go to our Golf Page to read more about our courses.

swimming buttonswimmingIf you have never had the unique opportunity to swim in an old fashioned "swimmin' hole", you've really missed out on some true Americana. Some of our local "swimmin' holes" come complete with waterfalls. If you prefer lake swimming over river swimming, Lakes Carmi, Memphremagog, Eden, Willoughby and Crystal are all nearby. Crystal clear, beautiful and uncrowded. What a way to spend a lazy summer afternoon!

fishing buttonfishNow, you know that with a name like The Inn On Trout River, there just has to be some good fishing in the area. Fish to your heart's content for Lake Trout, Salmon, Brown Trout, or Brook Trout in the 4,000 miles of public rivers, streams and lakes throughout the region. Or, go out on the back lawn and cast your line in the Trout River. We can even arrange for a guide to take you to some of the best fishing spots around. Give us a call today.

If you need a guide service to find the best places to fish throughout the season,
Raven Ridge Guide Service is a professional family-operated Vermont chartered fishing service. Raven Ridge provides fishing trips on the beautiful waters of Lake Champlain and Northern Vermont. Explore new places and learn new bass fishing skills.

hunting buttonMany hunters like to "go to camp". If you like hunting, but would prefer more comfort after being out in the woods all day, we welcome you to visit. The deer are plentiful, as are Moose, rabbit, bobwhite, quail, pheasant, ruffled grouse, and more. Why not take a shot at coming up for a weekend of hunting?
