![]() ![]() The Jay Peak Region's Premier Country Inn is located in Montgomery Center, a Vermont Historic District, and is surrounded by mountains, rivers, forests and fields. With 7 Covered Bridges, Montgomery is known as the "Covered Bridge Town" of the Green Mountains. The Inn On Trout River was built over 100 years ago by C.T. Hall, a local Lumber Baron. His family occupied the house until the early 1940's. It was run as a B&B for a number of years and then, in the late 1950's, was converted to a full service inn, named the Corinthia Inn. During the early 1980's the inn's name was changed to The Inn On Trout River. The original building has undergone several interior reconfigurations, but, to this day, retains the charm and elegance of a country Victorian home. It is this charm and warmth that has appealed to visitors from all over the world for nearly half a century. |
